Brent W. Morral is the Resident Agent in Charge (RAC) for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Allentown, PA, which focuses on all HSI related investigations in Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Schuylkill, Carbon, and Monroe Counties. RAC Morral oversees two human trafficking taskforces in Lehigh and Northampton Counties, which focus efforts on targeting individuals attempting to have sexual relations with minors. Recently, RAC Morral supervised a sex trafficking RICO investigation, which led to the convictions of 14 dangerous gang members, several of which have been sentenced to life in prison. In addition, RAC Morral is the Task Force Officer Coordinator for HSI Philadelphia as well as oversees the Recruitment Program for the office. Prior to Allentown, RAC Morral spent three years at HSI headquarters in Washington DC as an Acting Section Chief and was responsible for the overall effectiveness of HSI’s information technology platforms. In this role, RAC Morral led a staff of 30 employees who supported the deployment of tools designed to facilitate field agent efficiency and agency advancement, including mobile biometric and analytical platforms. Prior to his work at headquarters, RAC Morral was a Special Agent with HSI Omaha for approximately eight years. RAC Morral primarily investigated transnational gangs during his tenure in Omaha. He was the lead case agent on an investigation of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) street gang in which the MS-13 clique was dismantled after the leaders were arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. He was also the lead case agent for OCDETF Operation Sewer Rat, a case investigating multiple Sureño street gang cliques. In this case, he managed a confidential informant during an 18-month investigation and led the takedown which resulted in the seizure of 69 firearms and federal convictions of 30 gang members and associates for firearms and narcotics violations.
RAC Morral has been a Special Agent with HSI for 21 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bucknell University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Villanova University.
