Mr. Salvemini began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the National Park Service, serving in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In 2008, Mr. Salvemini took a position with the Federal Air Marshals Service in Newark, NJ. In 2009, Mr. Salvemini joined HSI, serving under the Resident Agent in Charge in Wilmington, Delaware. During his tenure with RAC Wilmington, Mr. Salvemini completed a ten-year assignment as the HSI representative on the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Drug Task Force in Wilmington. In 2019, Mr. Salvemini was instrumental in initiating the HSI First State BEST, served as the team leader and was tasked with overseeing operations and supervising assigned task force officers. Mr. Salvemini has managed several significant multi-jurisdictional and international narcotics investigations, including two Title III investigations where he received multiple awards and recognition from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Delaware and the Department of Justice, Assistant Attorney General, for his substantial success and meaningful casework. Mr. Salvemini was recently promoted to a Group Supervisor position and is responsible for the management and oversight of a team of special agents and task force officers assigned to the HSI Philadelphia, Port Investigations B.E.S.T.
